Ellie's Cafe is a quietly tucked-away spot in Tuebrook that feels very much part of the local rhythm. It’s the kind of place where a steady stream of neighbourhood regulars drop in throughout the day, especially for the breakfasts that earn praise for being both generous and well-cooked. Those after a classic English Breakfast will find it done with care here, while the menu also caters to a broader range—including vegetarian options, lighter after-gym choices, and some unexpected picks like nachos and rice boxes, which add a casual, flexible lunch vibe.

Inside, the atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, recently refreshed under new management with clean, bright interiors and an easy layout that accommodates a busy morning crowd without feeling cramped. Seating is relaxed enough to linger over a coffee but practical enough to keep the queue moving quickly even on busy weekends or event days—like before the LFC parade, when the cafe seems to buzz with fans gearing up for the match.

The service stands out for being attentive and efficient, handled by a small but capable team who seem to know many of their customers by name. This attentiveness complements the straightforward, no-fuss style of the place—a local hub that balances casual dining and grab-and-go well.

Ellie's works well for those who want a solid breakfast to start the day, catch up with friends in a relaxed setting, or simply enjoy a quick, satisfying meal in Tuebrook with a touch of home-style comfort. Mornings and weekends are particularly lively times, so arriving earlier can save you a wait. Overall, it fits seamlessly into the local scene as a dependable, friendly stop for anyone keen to enjoy simple, well-made food away from the more touristy spots.

Haven't been to this cafe for a very long time. Now under new management and even been refurbished. The place is spotless and the breakfasts are delicious, best poached eggs. They provide a good variety of meals too, like nachos, noodles and rice boxes. Also do vegetarian meals. Even do a after gym breakfast which either comes with green tea or a protein shake. If your in the area definitely worth a visit.
